How Character Unlocking Works Overview
Each character in Summertime Saga has a fixed location schedule and one or more story prerequisites before they become interactive. Understanding this system is the fastest way to avoid getting stuck.
Progress the main story first — Several character locations are locked behind early main story gates. Complete at least the first two main objectives before pursuing individual routes.
Check time of day — Characters follow morning, afternoon, and evening schedules. If someone is missing, try returning at a different time.
Read dialogue carefully — Characters often hint at where they will be next. Missing these hints is the most common cause of being stuck.

Most Common Unlock Problems
These are the reasons players most often get stuck finding or triggering characters.
Wrong time of day — The single most common issue. Check the in-game clock and return during the character's active hours.
Missed a prerequisite dialogue — Some routes require a specific conversation earlier in the game. If you skipped it, load a previous save.

Main story gate — If a location is locked, complete more of the main story arc before returning.
